The Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board (RATB) required the design, development, and operation of a complex, secure, and highly available data analytics and financial transparency application to support transparency and accountability for the use of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) stimulus funds.
SMX delivered an innovative open Government solution for the redesign of the Recovery.gov website. Utilizing advanced geospatial capabilities, business intelligence and analysis, cloud technology, and social media integration, Recovery.gov 2.0 provides unprecedented data access for average Americans. The application was designed to scale and support a massively-consumed web presence accessed by over a million visitors per hour, provide rich geo-spatial information, and meet high-availability and resiliency standards.
This project marked the first Government-wide system to move to the cloud. The website received over a dozen awards in recognition of its innovative and transformational capabilities.
