This system uses authoritative enterprise maintenance data from on-premises systems and maps the data to the Work Unit Code structure of the associated aircraft. This data is aggregated on AWS GovCloud using EC2 and Oracle databases running on EC2 to run analytic algorithms that were developed by the SMX team to provide leadership a top ten degrader list. Users are able to use the system to perform a myriad of statistical analyses to determine the reliability of variants of parts.
Impact
With the new system, the Military Command now collects maintenance action data from the Enterprise and provides statistical analyses of the data to identify readiness degraders. Analysts review the incoming data and pre-score the data for the review board. This work was transitioned to a Machine Learning process with 96% accuracy, and now is completed in seconds instead of hours or days.
