SMX is seeking a Cybersecurity Process Manager to oversee and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This person will analyze existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to streamline operations. This role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring processes, as well as collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. The Cybersecurity Process Manager will serve as the Army Intelligence Enterprise (AIE) Approved Products List (APL) Manager, Army Data Auditing Manager (ADAM) Process Manager, Exception Request Manager, and INSCOM CIO Cybersecurity Task Manager.
This is a full-time onsite position in Ft. Belvoir, VA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Process Analysis and Design: Examining existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and designing new or improved processes
- Implementation and Monitoring: Overseeing the implementation of new processes and continuously monitoring their effectiveness, adjusting as needed
- Process Improvement: Developing and implementing strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve overall performance
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with various departments and stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure alignment, and facilitate process changes
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate process documentation and providing regular reports on process performance and improvement initiatives
- Change Management: Leading and managing the change process associated with new or modified processes
Approved Products List (APL) Manager:
- Execute APL Manager duties in accordance with established processes
- Manage APL portal(s)
Army Data Auditing Manager (ADAM):
- Execute ADAM duties in accordance with established processes
- Manage ADAM portal(s)
Exception Request Manager:
- Execute Exception Request Manager duties in accordance with established processes
- Manage Exception Request portal(s)
Cybersecurity Task Management:
- Execute Task Manager duties in accordance with established processes
- Manage Task Tracker(s)
Process Improvement:
- Analyze existing process workflows to identify bottlenecks and gaps
- Develop and implement solutions to streamline operations
- Monitor processes
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve organizational goals
- Ensure processes are compliant with current DoD and IC policies and standards
Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) Development:
- Develop and maintain TTPs for CIO Cybersecurity processes, including but not limited to, ADAM, APL, Exception Requests, and Task Management
Cybersecurity Administrative Support:
- Provide Cybersecurity administrative support to include, but not limited to, updating documents, email distribution lists, phone rosters, etc.
Required Skills, Experience & Education
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for SCI read on prior to employment
- Certification: DAWIA PM Practitioner, GSEC, Security+, SecurityX [CASP+]
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, data science, information technology or related field
- Experience: 5+ years of Cybersecurity operations experience within DoD or IC environments
- Skills:
- Analytical Skills - Ability to analyze complex processes, identify problems, and develop solutions
- Problem-Solving Skills - Capacity to identify, analyze, and resolve issues that arise during process implementation or operation
- Communication Skills - Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing
- Project Management Skills - Ability to plan, organize, and manage process improvement projects from start to finish
- Leadership Skills - Ability to lead teams and guide them through process changes and improvements
Desired Skills/Experience
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
- 5+ years of Microsoft SharePoint development experience
- 7+ years of Cybersecurity operations experience within DoD or IC environments
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related technical field
- Hands-on experience with: Approved Product List (APL), Army Data Auditing Manager (ADAM), Exception Request process, DoD and IC Task Management
