Computer & Information Systems Manager – Intermediate (Secret to TS) (3270)

SMX is seeking a skilled Computer and Information Systems Manager to be part of our Information Technology Team supporting NAWCAD at Patuxent River, MD.  The position tasking includes evaluating program and/or project IT systems objectives ensuring the systems meet the customer requirements, managing projects for IT systems deployment and operations.  Create content and brief customers as required on project status.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Provide advanced level support for virtual and physical networks/computers/servers/appliances or other devices
• Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of IT system objectives
• Analyses requirements, status, budget, personnel resources, and schedules in support of information systems
• Tracks program/project status and schedules
• Plans, directs, and/or coordinates IT systems support activities, projects and programs

Required Skills: 

• Clearance Required: Top Secret, Interim TS to start. The applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Experience with enterprise and segregated IT systems
• Project management experience
• Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace.
• 3+ years of related IT experience required.
• Associate Degree in IT field.
• DoD 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) (Examples of minimum acceptable certifications-CCNA Security, CySA+, G SEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)

Desired Skills:

• Past DoD IT system experience
• PMP Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in IT field desired
• Agile project management experience
